Distinctive metabolomics patterns associated with insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in ischemic heart disease

This study aims to identify distinct metabolite profiles associated with insulin resistance (IR) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in individuals with ischemic heart disease (IHD). Utilizing untargeted metabolomics through liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), we will analyze serum samples to uncover metabolic pathway alterations in IHD patients with IR or T2DM compared to non-IHD participants. The goal is to discover novel biomarkers that can aid in the early diagnosis of IHD, assess disease severity, and support the monitoring of therapeutic response.
