Dr. Eiji Nakata is an associate professor at the Institute of Advanced Energy (IAE) ​at Kyoto University, Japan.

He is an esteemed member of the biotechnology and applied biochemistry research group. 

Their institute is a leader in advancing the research on biosensors, DNA origami, and lab on chip technologies.

His research interests focus on the design of biomacromolecules and their assemblies for molecular recognition, catalysis and signal transduction in water, the solvent of life.  Synthetic, organic chemical, biochemical and biophysical approaches to understand the biological molecular recognition and chemical reactions.​
