About:

Dr. Neha Goel is an accomplished Computational Biologist and Postdoctoral Scientist with over nine years of experience in research and teaching following her doctoral degree. Her primary expertise lies in Computational Biology, with specialization in multiomics data (Genomics, Proteomics), Statistical Analysis, and Project Management.

Currently, Dr. Goel is a Postdoctoral Scientist at Cancer Research UK Manchester, where her work (ongoing since April 2024) involves RNA-Exome and RNA-seq analysis for variant calling and fusion gene analysis in FFPE prostate tissue, as well as Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) analysis on CRISPR-edited cell lines.

Prior to this, she served as a Senior Researcher (Visiting Scientist) at the University of Turku, Finland (2021-2024), where she conducted extensive GWAS analysis on large cohorts like the FinnGen Registry, analyzed whole exome-based risk variants in breast cancer, and worked on various spatial transcriptomics and sequencing projects, including Prostate Single Cell RNAseq and WGBS analysis.
