The resources of the Arab Shakespeare research group include the texts and theatrical performances of the appropriations of Shakespearean plays written by Arab playwrights. Arab apropriations of Shakespeare's plays are frequently perfromed in theatres in the Arab World and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Some appropriations of Shakespeare's plays are also written by Arab writers in diaspora in English, French and other European langauges. Such texts and theatrical performances constitute the corpus for academic research articles written by Arab Shakespeare scholars. Many Arab appropriations of Shakespeare's plays are constaly translated from Arabic into English and once published, they are performed in theatres in the United States and Europe. Appropriations, offshoots and renditions of Arab Shakespearean plays include, but are not limited to, the following plays:
