About:

Paul Innes is Professor of English at the United Arab Emirates University. He wrote his Ph.D on Shakespeare's Sonnets at Stirling University. He taught Englsih Literatrure and Shakespeare at several universities in Scotalnd and Poland. He served as Head of the Department and Professor of Shakespeare Studies at the University of Gloucestershire. In 2021 he joined the United Arab Emirates University as Professor of English. His research focuses on Shakespeare, literary and critical theory and discourses about the emergence of the British Empire.
