Our research group collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture to advance animal production and welfare in Jordan, particularly under challenging environmental conditions like heat stress. This partnership involves joint research projects, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of innovative strategies to enhance livestock productivity and sustainability.

Key areas of collaboration include:

  • Climate Adaptation Strategies: Conducting research on mitigating heat stress in farm animals through improved nutrition, housing, and management practices.
  • Feed and Nutrition Optimization: Evaluating alternative feed additives, such as dietary betaine, to enhance metabolism, intestinal health, and reproductive performance.
  • Livestock Management Practices: Developing best practices for dairy cattle, poultry, and small ruminant production to improve efficiency and resilience in hot climates.
  • Capacity Building: Offering training programs and workshops for farmers, veterinarians, and ministry officials to disseminate research findings and promote best practices.
  • Policy Development: Providing scientific expertise to support evidence-based policies that enhance livestock production and sustainability in Jordan.

Through these collaborative efforts, our group helps bridge the gap between academic research and practical applications, ensuring that scientific advancements directly benefit Jordanian farmers and contribute to national food security​

Additionally, we have forged strong ties with industry partners like Al Estesharia Animal Nutrition, with whom we have signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct innovative scientific research. These partnerships underscore our commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical research and practical applications. We are actively seeking new collaborators to expand our network, enrich our research endeavors, and achieve our overarching goals of improving animal production and physiology.

Dr. Al-Qaisi has presented a seminar entitled “Effects of supplementing dietary Animax+ on milk production and aflatoxin M1 levels in heat-stressed dairy cows” as a part of the technical day for the Manaseer Industrial Company. He has provided valuable insights on how Animax supplementation can enhance milk production while reducing aflatoxin M1 levels, particularly under challenging heat stress conditions. Our participation at the technical day organized by Manaseer Industrial Company underscored a significant collaboration aimed at advancing livestock nutrition and health.
This partnership not only advances the practical application of Animax product but also serves as a model for industry-academia collaborations. It showcases how shared goals in research and development can address critical issues faced by farmers, improve animal welfare, and contribute to food safety. Our role in this initiative highlights the importance of leveraging scientific insights to create impactful solutions that benefit both producers and consumers.
