- Our research group aims to conduct projects in criticism and literature, focusing on reexamining the history of Arabic poetry

The research group "Arabic Poetry and the Anxiety of Influence" will cooperate with two entities:

- The Jordanian Writers society

Represented by its member: Rabi' Al-Rabi'

The Jordanian Writers society, established in 1974, serves as a vital partner in testing the validity of the theoretical framework through which we seek to explore the relationship between contemporary and classical poets, as well as inherited poetic traditions. Through Dr. Rabee' Al-Rabee', a member of both the society and our research group, we will be able to connect with these contemporary poets in order to conduct interviews and discussions, and to access their poetic works.

- The Jordanian Critics Association

Represented by its President: Zuhair Tawfiq.

The Jordanian Critics Association, established in 1998, includes among its members several university professors specializing in literary criticism and literature, with a particular interest in poetry. Therefore, collaborating with them on the research topics, our group seeks would significantly contribute to extending academic efforts beyond university settings toward active engagement with partners through the exchange of expertise and studies, peer review of research, and opportunities for interaction with poets—facilitated by the the Association of critical and poetic symposia.

This project will help new and contemporary poets overcome the anxiety they feel, due to their sense of being influenced by the poets preceded them.
