​Professor Sagheer A. Onaizi is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and a Senior Research Scholar at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Hydrogen Technologies and Carbon Management. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Professional Doctorate of Engineering in Process Development from the University of Twente, Netherlands. His research focuses on natural gas treatment, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), wastewater treatment, nanostructured materials for adsorption and separation, and colloidal systems such as nano-emulsions. Professor Onaizi has authored approximately 142 publications, with an h-index of 40 and over 3,800 citations, reflecting his significant impact in chemical and petroleum engineering. He has received multiple funded research grants and was awarded the Excellence in Research Award (2024) at KFUPM. He has also contributed patents and plays an active role in advancing research in gas treatment, environmental engineering, and nanostructured materials.​
