​AI in Medicine and Dentistry (AIMeD) research group focuses on advancing the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare through applications such as diagnostics, predictive analytics, treatment planning, and medical imaging. Key areas include medical imaging analysis, disease detection, dental X-ray interpretation, and personalized treatment planning. ​​

The research team comprises a distinguished, multidisciplinary group of experts from inside and outside the University of Jordan, including Dr. Mousa AL-Akhras from the Computer Information Systems Department, King Abdullah II School of Information Technology,​ ​Dr. Mohammad Abdel-Majeed from the Computer Engineering Department, School of Engineering, Prof. Malik Juweid from the Department of Radiology, School of Medicine, Prof. Yazan Hassona from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Periodontology, School of Dentistry, Dr. Tamam Alsarhan from the Artificial Intelligence Department, King Abdullah II School of Information Technology​, Dr. Kais Al Balbissi from the Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine. The group also include Jehad Yasin, a medical student from the School of Medicine, and Eng. Omar Ayesh, Chief Executive Officer at Electronic Health Solutions company.

International Members of the group include Prof. Nicola Cirillo from the ​Oral Medicine & Oral Cancer Group, Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourn, Australia and Prof. Philipp Lohmann from the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-4), Forschungszentrum Juelich, Juelich, Germany​​.​
