On April 29, 2025, the University of Jordan Radio conducted a phone interview with Dr. Ala’a Azzam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, to discuss her upcoming participation in a scientific project in Morocco focused on the observation of exoplanets—planets orbiting stars outside our solar system—and the study of their atmospheric compositions.

During the interview, Dr. Azzam emphasized the significance of this research in enhancing our understanding of exoplanetary characteristics and the potential for Earth-like environments beyond our solar system. She noted that the project is part of an international collaboration involving several leading universities and astronomical observatories, including the Oukaïmeden Observatory in Morocco.

Dr. Azzam also highlighted that her participation reflects the University of Jordan's commitment to advancing scientific research and fostering international partnerships in the fields of astrophysics and space science, offering valuable opportunities for students and researchers in the region.
