As part of international scientific collaboration under the CASPAR project, Dr. Ala’a Azzam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Jordan, conducted a research visit to the prestigious Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in the United States—one of the world’s leading institutions in astrophysics and space science research.
During the visit, Dr. Azzam toured several advanced astronomical observatories affiliated with the center, where she explored cutting-edge technologies and instruments used to observe planets, stars, and distant galaxies. The visit also included discussions on enhancing research cooperation and knowledge exchange between the center and the University of Jordan, with the goal of supporting the development of scientific and research capabilities in space science within the Arab region.
This visit reflects Dr. Azzam’s ongoing efforts to promote experiential and applied learning opportunities for physics students and to connect them with leading global research institutions.
