On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Dr. Ala’a Azzam, professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Jordan, was hosted on University of Jordan Radio to talk about the planetary alignment phenomenon that captured public interest around the world.

During the radio segment, Dr. Azzam explained that planetary alignment occurs when several planets appear to line up in the sky from our perspective on Earth. She clarified that while the event is visually striking and scientifically fascinating, it poses no danger and is a regular occurrence in the solar system.

She noted that the June 2024 alignment involved several planets and was visible to the naked eye just before sunrise, especially in areas with a clear horizon and minimal light pollution.
