Dr. Mourad Ghachoui is a Moroccan astrophysicist specializing in the detection, validation, and characterization of transiting exoplanets. He obtained his PhD in 2024 through a joint program between Cadi Ayyad University (Morocco) and the University of Liège (Belgium), conducted in close collaboration with NASA’s TESS mission and the TRAPPIST project.
His doctoral research focused on identifying exoplanets orbiting nearby stars, utilizing data from both space-based observatories like TESS and ground-based robotic telescopes such as TRAPPIST-North and TRAPPIST-South. His work has contributed to the discovery and analysis of numerous exoplanets, including several super-Earths and sub-Neptunes.
