Engineer Radi Alwardat holds his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/Telecommunications from Muta university/the military branch in 1990, he served in the Jordanian Armed Forces JAF for about twenty five years in the signal corps and several directorates in JAF related to his profession till he retired in 2015 as a colonel. Radi Joined the Jordan design and Development Bureau JODDB in 2011 as a program manager where he was responsible for the R&D technological projects that are required from the military and security agencies and he managed to take several projects to their next levels successfully and has helped commercialize a lot of them by the JODDB’s respective plants. During his military career Col. Radi had attended so many courses, conferences and exhibitions in different fields of operations and industries in the United States of America, United Kingdom and Europe as well as many countries in the MENA region. Currently Radi is the head of the applied research and scientific cooperation section in JODDB that is responsible for coordinating, promoting and managing the considerable portion of the national R&D effort in the country with the universities and the research community as well as the funding agencies. He also represents JODDB within the research teams and/or the research groups when JODDB is chosen as an industrial partner or an end user for the research endeavours that are funded from prestigious agencies such as NATO-SPS, UK Royal Academy of Engineering along with the funding partners, EU programs, Jordan SIRF and KAFD. Lastly Radi was lecturer in the Defense Technology Course that JODDB holds it in collaboration with the UK Cranfield University and has coo-authored and published several papers and manuscripts in the field of wireless sensor networks, telecommunications and electronics. He is an active voluntary member in international professional chapters such as IEEE, AFCEA, and IoT associations.
